Many human beings do not understand the sacredness of Water. It is the only element on Earth that can exist as liquid, solid, or vapor. Modern society has conditioned us to take our water for granted.
Mni Wiconi -This new series are inspired by the Native Americans protest in N.Dakota to protect their water and burial grounds. On July 26, 2016 the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe in N.Dakota was stunned to learn that Texas-based Energy Transfer Partners, were going to build a pipeline that would threaten the Missouri River, the tribe’s main source of drinking and irrigation water, and forever destroy burial grounds and sacred sites.
